Earthquakes have always interested me with respect to astrology, because they are impersonal and natural, i.e. nature at work doing what is ‘natural’.

For that reason aspects in an earthquake’s chart are neither good nor bad, they just are. earthquakes are only good or bad when they are considered with respect to, and from the perspective of, human or animal affairs. Nature does not say ‘I’m going to have an earthquake, but I’m going to make sure that no human beings or animals will get hurt’. If nature could make such an exception, than we could call an earthquake bad if humans or animals are hurt and good if no one gets hurt, simply because there would have been a choice. But nature draws no distinction between a human being and a piece of wood or a granite boulder. When nature earthquakes it treats them all the same. Furthermore, an earthquake has no personality of its own but occurs as a result of other, larger forces operating before the occurrence (the birth) of the quake.

In nature there are neither beginnings nor endings, because everything that ‘begins’ is a result of an earlier cause or set of causes and everything that seems to end is merely transmuting into and becomes the cause of something else.

At this point I have no set approach to analyzing an earthquake chart, though I have a feeling that as I look at more and more of them certain planetary patterns and a repetition of them will emerge probably with minor and or major variations. At times I may include one or more asteroid if it helps to establish a picture.

I would also love to hear from you if you discover anything that might shed more light on the subject.
